London Fashion Week has done it again and blown us all out of the water with its creativity, imagination and designers staying true to self and their original visions. No city does fashion better than the capital of cool. Represent.
Rococo Realness & Minamalist Malaise at Meadham Kirchhoff. An OTT experience and ever so fittingly fashion. Ben Kirchhoff and Ed Meadham’s heavy nod to Moschino and the same excess and frivolity that surrounded those heady days presented a layer upon layer of luxury. Let them eat cake indeed.
Cartoon Couture & Graphic Grown-up Girl-core at Louise Gray. A dizzying array of textile and print techniques were on display by Gray, and despite the fact that her clothes are fabulously fun this designer means business when it comes to making clothes with spirit and taking the world by storm. Unstoppable? This is the new wave.
Sci-fi Stepford Wives & Nouveau New Look at Peter Pilotto. Last but certainly not least and in fact a firm favourite, Peter Pilotto and Christopher Vos produced the best collection of the week and conjures up ideas of me and my dream wardrobe. A new femininity took form this season with ruffles, flounces and opulent beadwork alongside the usual strictness that first had me and many others with our tongues hanging out of our mouths in awe of the rich visual feast the boys offered with their digital delights from day one. Dreamy.
