Late but worth the wait 2.

Roll on A/W 12.

2 Dimensional Dressing + POP print at Comme des Garcons. Rei Kawakubo’s flat clothes collection has a dig at the fashion industry……these are clothes for the thinking women amongst us, who must have a sense of humour too. Who doesn’t want a pop floral all-in-one?

Interiors Inspiration + Trumped-up Tailoring at Kenzo. In a mere 2 seasons, Humberto Leon and Carol Lim have reinvented Kenzo to cool whilst keeping the polish and poise the house was known for.

City Mouse/ Country Mouse + Blue 4 Balance at Stella McCartney. Padded hips seem to be on quite a few designers minds this season – does this mean a light at the end of the scrawny hipped tunnel? The limited colour palette here gave great cohesion to the collection and allowed the McCartney cut to take centre stage/catwalk. Can’t wait to see how Stella has worked her magic on the uniforms for the British Olympic Team.

Pure Fantasy + Future Craft at McQueen. Sarah Burton continues to push herself and to deliver beautiful and mesmerizing clothes, but where is the wearable?
