Final NYC A/W 12 – late but worth the wait.

Sorry for my lack of Fashion Week updates, I must admit I have been super busy and super social – it is Fashion Week after all. I am a little behind schedule and as London has started – there is goodness galore to get excited about. Back to NYC final update, the American designers havent given me much on the print front to report on as their A/W 12 collections are conservative in nature and full to the brim with f…king fur! Summer collections are often much more optimistic and laden with print as my updates from last season show. What follows is a mixed bunch but the best of NYC print + textiles. Enjoy.

Indigenous ingenuity + farm girl fit-out at Rodarte. The Mulleavy sisters can do no wrong – orange and black all the way.

Sophisticated swashbuckler + desert dwellers at Altuzarra. Inspired by the Kutch tribes in India, a favourite place of mine in India!

Cool cocoon + jumped-up jacquards at Ohne Titel. Amazing in the flesh, with a warrior feel that is right up my strasse  – see them for yourself at  ln-cc.

Check-mate + Orient Express at Proenza Schouler. I just want to wear sharp and artfully constructed clothes like these.
