human jellyfish.

during my travels yesterday in southwark i came across the jellyfish theatre in the making. this temporary structure designed by berlin based architects kobberling and kaltwasser,  is set to become london’s first fully functioning theatre made entirely from recycled and reclaimed materials all donated + created by volunteering public peeps. the project focuses on energy efficiency, co-operation and human-scale construction. i am smitten with the interiors, see the great patch-worked space in the photos below. the project was initiated by theatre production company the red room as part of their ‘oikos project‘ and in doing so has enabled an exploration into how a new sustainable future can flourish in a world altered by climate change. power to the people.
