objects for atheists no less.

guy keuleman’s furniture research project, “objects for atheists” incorporates the historical study of religious aesthetics with an ethnographic study of online atheist groups. this beautiful piece of cabinetry entitled LKBP is the result of his research.

here you will find shelves that are a secret to be discovered, this concept is positioned as a metaphor for the continual drive of atheists to uncover and expose the mysteries of science, religion and life. deep. beautifully constructed from sustainably harvested bamboo, lots of designers are working with bamboo currently, and delightful dovetail joinery shows true craftmanship – no nails were used at all. castors give great mobility and even better function. i can see it full of jewels and accessories being wheeled around a shop or dressing room. is furniture the new religion?
